PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Villanova Women's tennis team traveled to Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday evening to take on Drexel. The Wildcats were unable to defeat the Dragons as they fell, 6-1.

In doubles, Lindsey Evans and Victoria Martinez lost a battle 6-2 in the No. 1 spot for Villanova. Next, Lexi DeNucci and Kaylan Rotman competed in the No. 2 spot where they dropped a close contest 6-4. Paulina Bajet and Claudia Althans competed in the No. 3 spot for the Wildcats but did not finish as Drexel captured the doubles point.

During singles, Victoria Martinez was the lone Wildcat to capture a victory. Martinez competed in the No. 4 spot.

Next up for Villanova is a trip west on Mar. 2 where they compete against UC San Diego beginning at 2 p.m. Also, while out in California, they face UC Riverside and UC Irvine.
