VILLANOVA, Pa.- The Wildcats returned to action on Thursday afternoon as they hosted Rider. Villanova was able to complete sweep as they pushed past Rider, 7-0
In doubles, Lindsey Evans and Claudia Althans competed in the one spot for the Wildcats was they swept their opponents 6-0. Clinching the doubles point in the No. 2 spot was Alexandra Krogius and Paulina Bajet who captured the victory, 6-3.
Freshman Lexi DeNucci continued to be dominant in the No. 1 spot as she defeated Vanessa Canda 6-1 in both sets. Next, Kaylan Rotman picked up the win in the No. 2 spot in two sets, 6-2 & 6-0. In the No. 3 spot, Victoria Martinez won her match, 6-3 & 6-0. Carina Burdick captured the victory in the 4th spot, 6-1 & 6-2. With a victory by Bajet in the No. 5 spot, the Wildcats clinched the singles points and the match to sweep Rider, 7-0.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Apr. 4 when they host La Salle at 2:30 p.m.
