VILLANOVA, Pa.- Villanova hosted fellow Philadelphia Big 5 team La Salle on Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats swept the Explorers to pick win number 10 of the season.

Competing in the No. 1 spot, Lindsey Evans and Victoria Martinez picked up the first win of the day, 6-3. Lexi DeNucci and Kaylan Rotman proved to be a good pair as they competed in the No. 2 spot and won the match, 6-2. A victory by Claudia Althans and Zoe Speaker at the No. 3 position completed the sweep in doubles for the Wildcats.

In singles, Claudia Althans captured the victory in the No. 2 slot, 6-0 & 6-1. Victoria Martinez competed in the No. 5 spot where she outlasted her opponent, 6-1 & 6-1. Alexandra Krogius helped the Wildcats secure the victory as she swept her opponent, 6-0 & 6-0. Villanova would go on to win the match, 4-0 The Wildcats will conclude the season with a BIG EAST Conference match at Georgetown. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m.
