Megan Vermeil is the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four goals this past weekend in two games.
On Friday against Quinnipiac, the senior from Downingtown, Pa., scored an unassisted goal in the third minute of play, helping the Wildcats defeat the Bobcats 2-1 and earn their first BIG EAST win of the season.
Vermeil also had a big game on Sunday against La Salle.
She delivered a hat trick, scoring three goals against the Explorers.
It was the senior forward's first hat trick since Villanova's matchup against Lehigh on Sep. 2 of last season, and the second of her career.
Last week, Vermeil was second in points in BIG EAST play behind only her teammate
Lydia Sydnor.
Vermeil is second of the team in points with 17, behind Sydnor (31).
She has netted seven goals and three assists so far this season.
This is Vermeil's second conference award this season.
She was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll in the first week of the season.
