Villanova will close out the 2019 portion of its schedule with a home game versus the Creighton Bluejays on Tuesday, Dec. 31. The Wildcats enter play with a 6-5 overall record and a 1-0 Big East Conference mark, while Creighton is 9-3 overall and 1-0 in league action. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m., at the Finneran Pavilion.

Tuesday's game against Creighton will be the 14th all-time meeting between the Wildcats and Bluejays. Creighton holds a slim 7-6 advantage in the series. Villanova has won three of the last four meetings against the Bluejays, including a 67-62 double overtime win in Creighton's last visit to the Finneran Pavilion on Feb. 3, 2019.

Two Wildcats were honored by the BIG EAST on Monday, Dec. 30, for their play in Sunday's win over Providence. Redshirt freshman Maddy Siegrist was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this year, while senior forward
Mary Gedaka earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll. In the victory, Siegrist tallied 18 points, six rebounds, two steals and an assist, while Gedaka registered a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds to go with four assists and a steal. Her 18 points came on 8-of-13 shooting.

After starting the year 0-3, Villanova has rebounded to win six of the last eight to move over .500 for the first time this year at 6-5. The Wildcats have won three of the last four entering play on Tuesday versus Creighton.

Over the last four games, Gedaka has played all but 4:46 in all four contests. After playing 40 minutes in back-to-back games versus Saint Joseph's and Temple, she logged 39:17Â at La Salle and 35:57 in Sunday's victory over Providence. Gedaka leads the team in minutes played on the season at 38.1 minutes per game.

After 11 games, Villanova is led in scoring and rebounding by Siegrist who is averaging 21.6 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per contest. Gedaka is second in scoring with a 16.9 points per contest average.
