VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova women's tennis team was defeated by the Drexel Dragons 5-2 on Friday afternoon at the Riverwind Golf Club. The Wildcats fall to 2-3 on the season as Drexel improves to 4-4.

The Dragons won the doubles court by winning on courts No. 2 and No. 3. Villanova's duo of senior Lindsey Evans and sophomore Claudia Althans won 6-3 on the No. 1 court. 

In singles play for Villanova, junior Kaylan Rotman won 7-6 (5), 6-3 on the No. 4 court and junior Carina Burdick won 7-6 (3), 10-6.

The Wildcats return to action on February 24th as the travel to play St. John's at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
