Princeton, N.J. - Villanova picked up their first win of the season on Saturday. They dropped the first game against Brown 12-4 and beat George Washington
Brown
The Wildcats fell behind 3-0 in the first quarter before getting a goal from
Kate Stenmoen and
Kaysie Stuba in the second quarter as they went into halftime trailing 5-2. Stenmoen scored another goal in the third and a Caitilin O'Leary goal in the fourth rounded out the scoring for the Cats as they fell 12-4.
George Washington
Villanova picked up their first win of the season against George Washington by a score of 14-11. The Wildcats were led by
Kate Murray and
Kate Stenmoen who each scored four goals. Stenmoen had two clutch goals in the fourth, along with goals from
Malia Gacutan and
Paris Huffman to push Villanova to the victory. The win against the Colonials is head coach
Larry Sanders first victory as a Wildcat.
