VILLANOVA, Pa.—A popular feature of the Villanova football season has a new on-campus home in 2019 as The Inn at Villanova University will host "Talking Villanova Football with Coach
Mark Ferrante presented by Miller Lite." The weekly hour-long radio show debuts on Tuesday, September 3 and will have a run of 11 episodes throughout the season. Each show can be heard live from 7-8 p.m. on 610 ESPN, the flagship station of the Villanova Wildcats. Fans can also access the radio show on the TuneIn mobile app.
Steve Pinone is returning as the host of the radio show along with head coach
Mark Ferrante, who begins his third year leading the Wildcats when the team travels to Colgate for its season opener this weekend. Each episode of Talking Villanova Football will feature Pinone and Ferrante discussing the previous week's game and offering a preview of the upcoming Villanova opponent. Throughout the program, Ferrante will also welcome special guests and give his take on all aspects of the football program along with CAA Football news and updates.
All but one of the 11 episodes of Ferrante's radio show will air live on Tuesday nights, beginning with six consecutive shows from September 3 through October 8 before taking a one-week break during the Wildcats bye week. The show returns following the bye for five straight episodes from October 22 through November 19. There will be one Monday date (November 4) for the radio show.
Villanova has the distinction of playing the first college football game in the country this Saturday when it takes on Colgate for a noon kickoff in Hamilton, N.Y. The contest is one of four "Week Zero" games on Saturday's national schedule.
The 2019 Villanova Football season is presented by Independence Blue Cross.
