Oregon Registers 4-0 Win over Villanova Sunday Evening

Box Score Eugene, Oregon- The Villanova Wildcats fell in their Sunday evening match to the Oregon Ducks 4-0, in the first meeting between the two schools.

The Ducks got on the board in the 14th minute when Zoe Hasenauer set up Ally Cook to go up 1-0.  Oregon would get a second goal before halftime with Hasenauer and Emma Eddy got the ball to Jordan Wormdahl to push the Ducks up 2-0 at halftime.

It was in the 63rd minute when Maya Hahn netted the Ducks third goal on a pass form Caitlin Shaw to make the score 3-0. 

The Wildcats offense made a final push at the end with Shaye Seyffart getting off two shots to start.  Senior captain Kristin Barbour took a free kick on the right side of the box and placed the shot right on goal but Oregon goalkeeper Katelyn Carter made the save.  Chloe O'Neill got back-to-back shots off in the 84th minute the first went wide left but the second was a header right in front of the goal but was saves by Carter.

Maggie Lacey would score the final Oregon goal in the 89th on a pass from Taylor Kuroda to make the final 4-0.

Villanova will return to Higgins Soccer Complex on Thursday, September 5th to take on the Delaware Blue Hens.  Kick off is scheduled for 4:00 P.M. and can be seen on Nova
