Villanova travels to UPenn Sunday for First Road Test

After scoring its most goals in a game since 2009, Villanova is looking to build of that success when they travel to the University of Pennsylvania for its first road trip of the season on Sunday.

Wildcat senior forward Lydia Sydnor, who had 4 goals and an assist in Friday's 8-3 win over Wagner, leads the team with 5 goals this season. She's followed closely behind by fellow senior forward Megan Vermeil who has 3 goals. The team is hoping that the two of them continue that dominance in Sunday's matchup.

Villanova has not had much success as of late against the Quakers, but its hoping to turn that around. The Wildcats own the all-time series between the two schools 5-3, but have lost the last three matchups.

The Quakers last game was Friday against the Monmouth Hawks. Despite leading at halftime, the team dropped the game 4-2. The team is looking for it's first win of the season after starting 0-3.

The game starts at 12 p.m. at Ellen Vagelos Field in Philadelphia and will be broadcasted live on ESPN+. Follow along on Villanova Field Hockey's Twitter (@VillanovaFH) and Instagram (VillanovaFH) for live updates during the game.
