After a successful start to Fall competition last week at the Bucknell Invitational, Villanova is looking come out strong on Friday at the Saint Joseph's Invitational in Philadelphia.

Last week, the Wildcats won four different brackets, including singles wins from freshman Caitlin Fisher, junior Claudia Althans and freshman Taylor Gould, as well as a doubles win from the pairing of Gould and sophomore Sabina Grigiorian.

Last season at the SJU Invitational, Wildcats then-junior Carina Burdick and then-freshman Olivia Kapp won Flight 2 of doubles, then-freshman Alexandra Vesikallio and then-senior Ellie Zimmerman won Flight 2 consolation draw.

In singles play, Vesikallio won the Flight 2 consolation draw, then-freshman Olivia Kapp won the Flight 3 draw and Kaylan Rotman won Flight 4.

This year, the teams competing will be the Wildcats, Bucknell, La Salle, Saint Francis (Pa.) and Saint Joseph's.
