Megan Vermeil is the recipient of two Week 1 awards after her last-second game-winning goal to seal Sunday's 3-2 season-opening game over Sacred Heart for Villanova. She had three shots in the game.

On Monday, the BIG EAST announced that the Downingtown, Pa. native was on the Week 1 BIG EAST Honor Roll. The senior forward was also named one of the Offensive Players of the Week by PhilaFH on Tuesday afternoon. 

Vermeil and the Wildcats are back in action on Sunday when it hosts Monmouth at 12 p.m. at The Proving Grounds.
