Villanova will play its final non conference game of the season on Wednesday night when the Penn Quakers visit the Finneran Pavilion. The Wildcats enter play with a 9-7 overall record and a 2-1 Philadelphia Big 5 mark, while the Quakers are 10-2 overall and 2-0 in City Series action. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
 
For the seventh time this year, Villanova redshirt freshman Maddy Siegrist has been named the Big East Rookie of the Week. In two games last weekend, she averaged 17.0 points per game and 13.5 rebounds per contest. After tallying 11 points and 11 rebounds in a loss versus Butler on Friday, Jan. 10, Siegrist helped lead the Wildcats to a win over Xavier on Sunday, Jan. 12, with 23 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. The 23 points came on 10-of-19 shooting.
 
Villanova enters play against Penn on Wednesday with a 2-1 Philadelphia Big 5 record. With a victory over Penn, the Wildcats will clinch at least a share of the 2019-20 Big 5 title.  Under the guidance of head coach Harry Perretta, Villanova has won 16 Big Five titles, including 10 with a perfect record and the outright championship.
 
The Wildcats enter play on Wednesday with an all-time Big Five record of 121-40 (.751). The 121 wins are the most victories by any Big Five women's program. Saint Joseph's is second with 111 .Villanova is 30-6 in its last 36 Philadelphia Big Five games.
 
Wednesday night's game will be the 162nd and final Philadelphia Big Five game for Villanova head coach Harry Perretta who is retiring at the end of the season. Perretta has an all-time City Series record of 121-40 (.751) and he has led the Wildcats to 16 Big 5 championships. 
 
Villanova is led in scoring and rebounding by Siegrist who is averaging 20.1 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per contest. Senior forward Mary Gedaka is second on the team in scoring with a 16.8 points per contest average, while junior Cameron Onken is second in rebounding at 6. 4 game.
