Wildcats Travel to Seton Hall Friday Afternoon

The Wildcats will travel to South Orange, N.J., on Friday afternoon to take on the Seton Hall Pirates. Villanova enters play with a 6-6 overall record and a 1-1 Big East mark, while the Pirates are 9-4 overall and 2-0 in conference action. Tip-off at Walsh Gymnasium is set for 1 p.m.
 
Villanova and Seton Hall will be meeting for the 66th time on Friday afternoon. The Wildcats currently lead the all-time series by a 43-22 margin. Villanova has won six in a row over Seton Hall, including seven of the last eight and 12 of the last 16. The Wildcats are 13-3 in their last 16 trips to Walsh Gymnasium.
 
Senior forward Mary Gedaka tallied her 64th career double figure scoring game in Villanova's last outing versus Creighton when she scored 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting, including a 1-of-2 effort from both three-point range and the foul line. Of the 64 games, 14 have been of 20 points or more.
 
After 12 games in 2019-20, Villanova has been credited with an assist on 187 of their 264 field goals for 70.8 percent.  Cameron Onken leads the team with 39 assists followed by Mary Gedaka with 37 and Bridget Herlihy with 34. In the last two games combined, the Wildcats have been credited with an assist on 49 of their 61 field goals for 80.3 percent .
 
Forward Maddy Siegrist has looked anything like a rookie in the first 12 games of her career. Entering play at Seton Hall on Friday afternoon, Siegrist leads the Wildcats in scoring (20.7 ppg.), rebounding (8.1 rpg.), field goal percentage (.510) and three-point field goals (25).

Villanova is led in scoring and rebounding by Siegrist who is averaging 20.7 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per contest. Gedaka is second both categories with a 17.0 points per contest average and a 5.9 rebound per game average.
