VILLANOVA, Pa. - Senior guard Collin Gollispie (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood High School) was honored on Monday as the Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week.

In addition, the BIG EAST Conference selected Gillespie to its weekly Honor Roll.

The Wildcats rallied from an 18-point first half deficit at Georgetown Friday with Gillespie playing a large part in the revival. He scored 12 of his 18 points after intermission and also contribtued six assists and four rebounds to the triumph.

Next up for Villanova is its home opener, Wednesday night at Finneran Pavilion agaisnt BIG EAST rival Butler (1-0) at 7 p.m. (FS1 and 95.7 Ben FM Radio).
