IRVINE, Ca. – The Wildcats are on a hot streak, improving to 7-1 on Thursday afternoon after defeating University of California Irvine on the road 5-2. That was the team's sixth straight win. Villanova is leaving its West Coast trip undefeated, recording wins over UC Irvine, UC Riverside and Point Loma.
The Wildcats opened the match by winning the double's point. The No. 1 doubles pairing of
Claudia Althans and
Lindsay Zimmermann clinched the point, defeating the Anteaters 7-6(3).
In singles, No. 1 Zimmermann and No. 2 Althans battled for three sets to secure their respective victories.

Kaylan Rotman and No. 3
Lexi DeNucci won their matches in straight sets. Rotman clinched the victory for the Wildcats.
