Villanova, Pa. – The Villanova rowing team returned to action on Saturday with a scrimmage against Drexel and Rutgers on the Schuylkill River. The Wildcats and Dragons competed in the first three events together before Rutgers joined for the final two events.
 
"It was fun to get out on the water again to race some strong competitors," said head coach Carissa Adams. "I would say the day was a success and we accomplished everything we set out to do. The goal for the day was to attack the pieces with heart and stay focused on what we could control. We came off the water feeling good and ready to attack our practices ahead of our race with Delaware on April 9."
 
Villanova and Drexel competed in three race pieces totaling roughly 1300 meters. The two squared off in two events down river before attacking one event upriver.
 
The Wildcats begin the regular season on Friday, April 9^th at the Delaware University Duel in Conshohocken, Pa.
