Wildcats' Match Saturday at Connecticut is Canceled

COVID-19 issues in the Huskies program force the move

The BIG EAST has announced that UConn's remaining two men's soccer contests this week have been canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within the Husky program.

The league matches include Wednesday, April 7 at Providence and Saturday, April 10 vs. Villanova in Storrs.  These matches will not be rescheduled as announced by the BIG EAST.

Villanova has had its final three BIG EAST matches - vs. Seton Hall, vs. St. John's and at Connecticut - canceled in the last four days due to COVID-19 protocols within the opponents' programs.

The Wildcats continue to engage with other programs in the region in the hopes of adding additional non-conference contests to replace these lost matches in the coming days. Villanova last saw action on Mar. 31 when it downed Connecticut 4-1 at the Higgins Soccer Complex.
