NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference today announced that Villanova senior forward Maddy Siegrist (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) has been named the league's women's basketball Player of the Week.

In road wins over Marist and No. 25 Princeton, Siegrist averaged 26.5 points per game and 12.0 rebounds per contest and shot 55.5 percent from the field (20-of-36) and 42.8 percent from three-point range (3-of-7).

Her best effort of the week came in a 69-59 win at Princeton when she had 32 points and 13 rebounds. The 32 points came on 12-of-17 shooting, including a 3-of-4 effort from three-point range and a 5-of-5 performance from the foul line.

In the season opening win at Marist, Siegrist registered 21 points and 11 rebounds.

The Wildcats return to action on Thursday, Nov. 17, with a road game at Penn. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
