Caroline Curnal Earns BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll in Final Week of Regular Season

New York, N.Y. - Senior attacker Caroline Curnal was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her performance against Butler this past weekend. She scored three goals, including the eventual game winning goal in the middle of the fourth period. 

This award marks Curnal's fifth of the season, with four Weekly Honor Roll nominations and one BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week award. 

Against Butler on Saturday, Curnal also had five draw controls, putting the Ridgefield, Connecticut native to 121 draws for the season. This ranks second all-time at Villanova for a single season, as the senior now has two seasons (82, 2021) inside the top five.

Ali Diamond, Georgetown, Sr., A
Diamond was the BIG EAST's single-game points leader last week, tallying eight off two goals and six assists as the Hoyas upset 14th-ranked Connecticut in Friday's nationally televised regular-season finale. Diamond's six helpers were a career best.
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week Mary Pagano, Georgetown, Grad., M Pagano scored a career-best five goals to go along with an assist for a six-point Friday night as Georgetown upset No. 14 UConn. Pagano was 2-for-2 on free position attempts and added two ground balls. 
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week Kailee Lammers, Denver, Sr., D Lammers led the No. 10 Denver in a pair of games last week, tallying five caused turnovers and nine ground balls in a setback to Colorado and win over Marquette. The victory over the Golden Eagles clinched the BIG EAST regular-season title outright for the Pioneers along with the No. 1 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Championship. The Denver defense allowed just nine goals by Marquette as the Pioneers finished conference play with a league-best 9.94 goals against average. 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Lauren Black, Denver, Fr., A
Black notched a career-best seven points in the 10th-ranked Pioneers' win over Marquette on Saturday. With four goals and three assists against the Golden Eagles, it
marked Black's eighth hat trick, including third straight, and 14th multi-goal game of her freshman campaign. She also scored three goals against Colorado in non-conference action earlier in the week.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Emily Gaven, Georgetown, Jr., GK – earned the win over No. 14 UConn with six saves while facing 26 shots
Lydia Foust, Marquette, Sr., M – five points off three goals, two assists in setback at No. 10 Denver
Caroline Curnal, Villanova, Sr., A – notched a hat trick, including the game winner, along with five draw controls in the Wildcats' season-finale win at Butler
