VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova women's lacrosse team announced a 16-game schedule for the 2024 season, featuring eight home games at Villanova Stadium. 

Coming off an 11-6 season, 3-3 in the BIG EAST in 2023, Wildcat's Head Coach Jill Batcheller will begin her third season leading the program alongside assistant coaches Kelsea Donnelly and Madison Lesher. 

With tremendous improvement last season, Batcheller believes the team picked up right where they left off. "At the same time, we grew in many key areas including our creativity, our clearing ability and our depth allows us to play a faster game," Batcheller said.

The Wildcats will take on challenging opponents including city rivals La Salle and Saint Joseph's, conference standouts such as Denver and UConn, and power-5 opponent USC. 

"I'm excited about the 2024 schedule," said Batcheller. "Right from our first game, our team will have the opportunity to compete against top teams from all regions in our quest for success this season!"
 
Villanova will open its season with a scrimmage on Saturday, February 3rd, at home against Delaware at 10:30 a.m. BIG EAST play will begin Saturday, March 23rd, when the Wildcats host Georgetown.
