WEST POINT, N.Y.- The Wildcats take down Stony Brook at Army in 4-1 fashion ending the match early after claiming enough team points to take the victory.
 
Beginning the match with doubles, number two and three doubles fell to Stony Brook's teams. Emi Callahan and Maggie Gehrig were the lone doubles victors to take a 6-4 win over their opponents. Stony Brook claimed the first team point of the competition.
 
Villanova came out on top only needing to compete in four of the six matches to take home the win. Emma Brogan defeated Loreto Villalba-Rubio 6-2, 6-4 at No.1 singles. Callahan took on Chandrika Joshi in the No. 2 spot losing the first set 3-6 but coming back and taking the second 6-2 as well as the 6-2 third set tiebreaker. Gehrig also struck luck in the No. 3 spot over Kristine Theys in a 6-4, 6-3 victory, Lastly senior captain Caitlin Fisher took the 6-3, 6-4 win over Debby Mastrodima in the six spot to take the 'W' on the day for the 'Cats.
 
The Wildcats return to action on Saturday February 25 to take on Brown at 9 am and Providence at 4:30 pm.
