LA JOLLA, Calif.- The Wildcats take a tough 4-0 loss to UC San Diego (UCSD). Although the Wildcats were leading in multiple matches the Tritons were able to take more team points in the end for the overall win.
 
The match began with doubles where both No.1 and No.3 doubles fell to their UCSD opponents. The team of Trey Fourticq and Tighe Brunetti were leading their adversaries 4-3 when the match was stopped due to two out of the three being completed with UCSD securing the team point.
 
Singles had a similar outcome with No.2, No.3, and No.5 singles all taking a loss to their opponents while Josh Robinson and Cooper Gordon led their respective sets before the match was called. Robinson in particular was in a very close and thrilling first set tie breaker leading Phillip Lan 13-12.
 
The Wildcats return to action for their next head-to-head match on Tuesday March 7 to take on Butler at the UCSD Northview Courts. Match time is set for 11 am PST, 2 pm EST in La Jolla, Calif.
