VILLANOVA, Pa.- The Wildcats took on Rider at home and took a swift 4-0 victory.
 
The match began with Villanova sweeping doubles to claim the first team point of the match.
 
The Wildcats claimed No. 2, 4, and 5 singles to finish the match and claim a 4-0 victory over the Broncs. Freshman Maggie Gehrig defeated Daniela Naves 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Sophomore Valieriia Kornieva took on Avery Oppenhiem and took the 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles.  Junior Bella Steffen faced off with Samantha Killin and swiftly took a 6-1, 6-2 win.
 
The Wildcats return to action on Thurday, April 13 to take on Saint Joseph's on the West Campus Courts. Match time is set for 3:00 pm.
