VILLANOVA, Pa.- The Wildcats took on Lafayette for a special senior day match on Sunday afternoon at the west campus courts. Villanova took a 4-0 victory over the Leopards to conclude the 2023 regular season with a 8–13 record.
 
The match began with doubles and the Wildcats claimed their first team point of the match taking No. 1 and 2 doubles before the section of the match was called.
 
Villanova went on to earn wins in No. 3, 5 and 6 singles over the Leopards when the match was called. Valieriia Kornieva took on Olivia Boeckman in the No. 3 spot and took a 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 win. Caitlin Fisher defeated Eleanor Campbell at No. 5 singles for the 7-6, 6-3 result. At the No. 6 spot Taylor Gould faced off with Halle DeNardo winning the 7-5, 7-6 decision.
 
The Wildcats were victorious 4-0 over Lafayette and concluded the match with a short senior day ceremony to honor the graduating senior captains Amanda Rivera-González, Caitlin Fisher and Taylor Gould.
 
UP NEXT: The Wildcats will return to action on April 20 through 24 for the BIG EAST tournament held in Cayce, S.C.
