Rainy Weather Cancels Baseball Series Finale Versus Huskies

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. – Due to rain in the forecast around Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth, Villanova's final game of the series with No. 10 UConn has been canceled for the day and will not be rescheduled.
 
The game originally was set for a 12 p.m. first pitch got pushed back to 12:40 p.m. With the weather persisting both teams felt it best to cancel the contest for the safety of the players. UConn clinched the series in yesterday's doubleheader by sweeping the day taking game one 7-3 and game two 9-1.

The 'Cats will be back in action on May 2 when they head into the city to take on Saint Joseph's in a midweek game. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at John W. Smithson '68 Field on Hawk Hill.
