QUEENS, N.Y. – Villanova concluded its three-game BIG EAST series at St. John's on Sunday afternoon at Jack Kaiser Stadium. The Red Storm came out on top with a walk off 13-3 win over the Wildcats in seven inning.

Craig Larsen hit an RBI double in the top of the third for the 'Cats first run of the game. Senior catcher
John Whooley went 3-for-4 on the day with an RBI single in the top of the fifth.
Freshman
Graham Moore had a solid day on the mound coming in as relief for one inning. He had three punchouts and only allowed in one run against him.
The Red Storm took a large lead in the bottom of the first starting with Aaron Mann hitting a two RBI double to right center followed by Luke Orbon with an RBI single through the right side for the 3-0 result. Jace Jeremiah cranked a deep ball that hit off the left center wall to drive in three more runs and landed himself on third to end the first with a 6-0 lead over the Wildcats.
Mann and Orbon struck again in the bottom of the second to further St. John's lead with another RBI double for Mann and RBI single for Orbon to make it a 8-0 game.
Villanova plated one run in the top of the third off a Larsen RBI double down the left field line to score Cooke from second. The Red Storm extended their lead in the bottom of the inning crossing home on an RBI walk for the 9-1 advantage.
Nothing across on either side in the fourth with the Wildcats showing signs of life in the top of the fifth.
Michael Whooley made his way aboard with a leadoff walk followed by
Jack O'Reilly singling through the left side. J. Whooley scored his brother on an RBI single through the right side and O'Reilly scored due to
Josue Valdez hitting a sacrifice fly RBI for the 9-3 result. The Red Storm extended their lead back to a eight run game with Mann and Orbon driving in a run each for the 11-3 score in the bottom of the inning.
St. John's brought things home in the bottom of the seventh first scoring an RBI single to get with one run of the BIG EAST Sunday travel run rule. The Red Storm ended the game in walk off fashion with Jimmy Keenan hitting a walk off RBI double to end the game in a 13-3 victory over Villanova.
The Wildcats still earned the BIG EAST series win over the St. John's due to their previous two victories in games one and two.
