Wright to be Inducted Into Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame

Former Wildcats' Coach to be inducted in November in an event at Philly Live!

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - For the second time in as many years, a legendary Villanova head men's basketball coach will be inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

Following last November's induction of the leader of Villanova's 1985 NCAA national championship Wildcats Rollie Massimino, this year will mark the induction of his former assistant, Jay Wright. Wright retired from coaching in April 2022 after a remarkable 21-season run that included four NCAA Final Four appearances and a pair of NCAA national titles (2016 and 2018).

The induction ceremony will be held on Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Live Casino and Hotel Philadelphia. Information on tickets can be found at www.philadelphiasportshalloffame.org
