Golf Unveils 2023 Fall Schedule

Wildcats will compete in six events to kick off 2023-24 campaign

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Coming off one of the best seasons in Villanova golf history, head coach James Wilkes announced the team's fall slate for the 2023-24 campaign. The schedule includes six tournaments, all in the northeast across the months of September and October.

Villanova begins its calendar with a visit to Hamilton, New York, to once again open the fall season at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial on Sept. 2-3. Hosted by Colgate at Seven Oaks Golf Club, this marks the fourth time in five years that the Wildcats will participate. Last year, VU finished in a tie for fourth out of the 14 Alex Lagowitz competitors and freshman Ryan Pamer earned runner-up honors in his first collegiate action.

The 'Cats follow that up with a visit to Shuttle Meadow CC in Connecticut on Sept. 16-17, taking part in the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate, a tournament founded in 2010 to bring together the Northeast's top college teams.

Next up is Binghamton's Matthews Auto Collegiate on the opening days of October, hosted by The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y., an event VU last participated in during the 2017 effort.

The Wildcats make their first official appearance in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania the next week, traveling to Lewisburg for the Bucknell Fall Invitational.

Villanova will make a third trip to the Empire State in late October, golfing in the Nassau Intercollegiate hosted by Long Island University. The Sharks' fall event will be held at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, N.Y., from Oct. 23-24.

VU will also participate in the annual City 6 with other Philadelphia-area golf teams, but the location and date is unknown.
