WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The Villanova golf team is set to play in the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Course in Williamsburg, Virginia. 

The Event

VU along with Lafayette, Liberty, Longwood, NC Central, Saint Joseph's, St. Bonaventure, Towson, William & Mary, Delaware, Robert Morris, Georgetown and Navy will compete in a two-day, 54-hole tournament. 

The opening two rounds will be played Monday, with the final 18 played Tuesday. 

The Course

The Golden Horseshoe Golf Course is 6,817 yards long, with a par of 71. 

The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1963. 

Jones, an iconic designer of golf courses, called the Golden Horseshoe his "finest design."

Villanova Lineup 

Ryan Pamer hits first off the tee after a 12th place finish at the Peoples Championship in St. Simon's Island, Ga. Pamer shot 210 (-4) in the tournament. 

Matt Zerfass hits second after a 16th place finish at the Peoples Championship. Zerfass shot 212 (-1) and will look to continue his momentum. 

Consistent third off the tee Vibhav Alokam will once again hold that position. Alokam finished strong in Georgia, shooting 69 (-2) in the final round to tie for 25th. 

Brockton English hits next, also finishing strong in the final round at the Peoples Championship. English finished 37th, but shot 69 (-2) in the final round. 

Nathan Marion returns to the lineup for the 'Cats after last playing at the Savannah Intercollegiate to open Spring. As an individual, he shot 236 (+20) in Savannah. 

Luke Leonard will make his spring season debut at the Golden Horseshoe. The freshman will be golfing as an individual.
