New York, N.Y.—Meghan Mitchell has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for two consecutive weeks. It marks her sixth career selection and the first time in her career she has received the honor two weeks in a row.
Mitchell recorded five points in Villanova's two games this past weekend. While she only recorded one assist vs. Rutgers, she created numerous chances such as earning the penalty corner which resulted in a
Sabine de Ruijter goal. She recorded her sixth career multi goal game against Lasalle as she scored two goals, boosting her season total to five.
Mitchell leads the team with 14 points on the season. She is currently 10
th in the nation in points per game average with 2.80.
Mitchell aims for three consecutive BIG EAST Honors when the 'Cats open conference play Friday at Georgetown.
