The Wildcats Perform Well at West Pointe Invite

WEST POINT, NY. — The Wildcats send four players to compete in the West Pointe Invite, and all four battled deep into tournament.
 
Maggie Gehrig won her first singles match 6-2, 6-1 over Katarina Plumtree of Fairfield University, but fell in round of 16 to Sacred Hearts, Katsiaryna Starastsenka 6-2, 6-2. She then teamed up with Chloe Floyd for doubles play. They had a bye in the round of 64 and won in the round of 32 against Fordham University's Franny Shea and Demetria Jhaveri 6-4, but then fell in the round of 16.
 
Valieriia Kornieva wins against Maeve Cassidy of Fairfield University but lost in the round of 16 to Paige Herremans of U.S Military Academy. She followed her single performance up by pairing with Miriam Gondorova for doubles play. They defeated Andrea Sydow and Jett Coetzee of Rider University 6-4 but lose in round of 32 to Fordham University's Eleni Fasoula and Raffaela Alhach 6-4.
