Doubles
Villanova took two of the three doubles matches
In the one spot the freshman
Miriam Gondorova and senior
Ami Grace Dougah start the day for the cats with a 7-5 win over Navy's duo of Ribaudo and Tannebaum.
The sophomore duo of
Emi Callahan and
Maggie Gehrig pick up another win for Villanova playing in the two spot. The duo won 6-3 over Cheng and Fermo.
Amanda Rivera-Gonzalez and
Valieriia Kornieva were in the third spot and fell 6-2.
Singles
Gondorova picks up the first dual match win of her young career. In the third singles spot she beats Johns from Navy in a match that went to the third set (6-3, 5-7, 6-4).
Dougah fell 6-4, 6-1 in the one spot to Tannebaum,
Gehrig fought hard in the two spot, but fell in a third set tie breaker (6-3, 2-6, 7-6(6)).
Kornieva in the fourth spot fell 6-4, 6-4.
Freshman
Jenna Stevens competed in the fifth spot for the Wildcats. After falling in the first set, she forced a third, but did not complete the comeback (7-5, 0-6, 6-0).
Junior
Emma Brogan fell in the sixth spot 6-4, 6-4.
