VILLANOVA, Pa.- The Villanova baseball team released their schedule for the 2024 season. The Wildcats will host 15 games at the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth. The team finished 14- 36 (7-13 BIG EAST) last season.
Villanova kicks off their season with 17 straight games on the road. They begin on February 16 in San Antonio, Texas to take on the University of Incarnate Word in a three-game series.
The Wildcats will then travel back to the east coast on February 23 to North Carolina for a three-game series against Davidson.
A trip out west to California is where Villanova will be for 13 days to take on three different opponents. Up first will be a three- game series on March1-3 in Los Angeles against Loyola Marymount University. One game on March 5 follows in Santa Barbara to take on UC Santa Barbara. The Wildcats will then wrap up their trip with a three-game series in Malibu against Pepperdine on March 8-10.
On March 13 the wildcats will be in Philadelphia for one game at Penn.
Villanova wraps up its 17 games away with a three-game series at East Tennessee State University on March 15-17.
The first home game of the 2024 season will be on March 20 versus Saint Peters.
The Wildcats then head back on the road on March 22-24 to Virginia for a three-game series against George Mason.
On March 26 Villanova will take part in the Liberty Bell Classic on the road against Lehigh.
Villanova will begin BIG EAST Conference play in Washington DC for a three-game series against Georgetown on March 29-31.
The Wildcats will host five straight games at Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth. This homestand begins with a game on April 3 against Liberty. Following that will be a BIG EAST series on April 5-7 against St. John's. This homestand concludes on April 10 with Penn coming into Plymouth.
Villanova will be on the road on April 12-14 for a three-game series in New Jersey to take on BIG EAST opponent Seton Hall.
The Wildcats on April 16 will travel to face Lafayette.
Another BIG EAST matchup for the Wildcats is next with a three-game home series against Creighton on April 19-21.
A two-hour trip to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to take on Bucknell on April 23 is what follows for the Wildcats.
Villanova then will travel to Stamford, Connecticut to take on BIG EAST opponent UConn for a three-game series on April 26-28.
The Wildcats wrap up the month of April on the 30 at home against St. Joseph's and begin May at home in the 3-5 in Plymouth hosting Iona.
A short trip to West Long Branch, New Jersey on May 7 is next for Villanova to take on Monmouth.
The last home games of the season come against BIG EAST opponent Butler on May 10-12.
Villanova ends their non-conference schedule in Philadelphia at St. Joseph's on May 14.
The final regular season games of the 2024 season will be on the road for a BIG EAST series against Xavier.
The BIG EAST Championship Tournament will again take place on May 22-25 at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio.
