VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova University baseball team has released its schedule for the upcoming season, highlighted by early-season trips to Florida and a competitive BIG EAST slate.
The Wildcats will open the year on the road in Miami, taking on FIU in a three-game series from February 13–15. The following weekend, Villanova will remain on the road for another nonconference test, heading to Nashville for a three-game series at Lipscomb (Feb. 20–22).
Villanova will return briefly for its home opener against Towson on February 24, before heading back to Florida for a challenging three-game series at Florida Atlantic (Feb. 27–March 1).
The Wildcats will continue their southern road swing with a midweek contest at North Florida on March 4, followed by a three-game series at Florida A&M (March 6–8). Upon returning home, Villanova will host La Salle on March 10 before heading back on the road for a three-game set at Charleston Southern (March 13–15).
The Blue and White will return to Villanova Ballpark for a midweek matchup against Coppin State on March 17, which precedes a three-game home series against UNC Asheville (March 20–22). The Wildcats will then take part in the Liberty Bell Classic on March 24, with their opponent to be determined.
Villanova will resume nonconference action with a three-game series at Texas–Arlington (March 27-29) before the second round of the Liberty Bell Classic on March 31.
BIG EAST play begins at home when the Wildcats host Butler (April 2–4). Villanova will then continue tournament play with another Liberty Bell Classic game on April 6 before heading to Cincinnati for a three-game conference series at Xavier (April 10–12).
The Wildcats return home for a midweek matchup against Bucknell on April 14, followed by a three-game home series against Creighton (April 17-19). Villanova will remain at home to host Penn on April 22 before traveling to face Seton Hall (April 24–26).
The team will then host crosstown rival Saint Joseph's on April 28 before embarking on a three-game BIG EAST road series at Georgetown (May 1–3).
Villanova will close out the home portion of its schedule with a three-game set against St. John's (May 8–10) before concluding the regular season on the road at UConn (May 14–16).
