Leonard Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

VILLANOVA, Pa. – For the first time in his career, Brayden Leonard has earned Academic All-District status, as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday afternoon.

This team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

All-District honorees were also considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Leonard moves on as a finalist and has the chance to be a first-, second- or third-team Academic All-America® honoree. Those teams will be announced June 23, 2026.

This season, the sophomore infielder appeared in all but one game for the Wildcats with 46 starts. He led the team with 57 hits and 14 doubles and had 35 RBI for second-most on the team before eventually being named an All-BIG EAST Second Team selection. The Alpharetta, Georgia native logged 14 multi-hit games throughout the season, including a season-best three hits six times on the year, and saw a 10-game hitting streak late in the nonconference portion of the schedule. He hit at a .302 clip on the year while posting a .418 slugging percentage and successfully stealing base in 13 of his 18 attempts.

The Economic major's All-District nod is the first for the program since 2023 when five Wildcats earned plaudits.
