Huskies Take Game Two

Box Score

STORRS, Conn. – The Villanova baseball team fell to UConn, 8-0, on Friday, May 15, in the second game of the series on the road.

UConn struck first in the bottom of the second inning with a solo home run to take an early 1-0 lead.

The Huskies added to their advantage in the third with another long ball. With two outs, a three-run homer to left field extended the lead to 4-0. UConn tacked on another run in the fourth after capitalizing on a Villanova error and bringing a runner home with an RBI single up the middle to make it 5-0.

The score remained unchanged until the bottom of the seventh inning. UConn loaded the bases with two outs before a double into the left-center field gap cleared the bases and plated three more runs, pushing the Huskies' lead to 8-0.
