NEW YORK – Following a two-home run weekend at UConn, senior Collin Quintano was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Monday, May 18, earning the conference's final regular-season weekly honor.
Quintano becomes the first Villanova player to receive BIG EAST Player of the Week recognition this season.
The Easton, Pa. native delivered a standout performance during Villanova's final series of the year in Storrs. He opened the weekend with a pair of RBIs on Thursday against the nationally ranked Huskies, with both runs coming on a two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning — his 10th home run of the season.
Quintano capped off his senior campaign with a three-hit performance on Saturday, driving in four runs while blasting another home run to help Villanova close the 2026 season with a victory.
His four-RBI effort on Saturday marked his second-highest RBI total in a game this season. Quintano finished the 2026 campaign leading the Wildcats with 11 home runs and 46 RBIs.
