Trips to Puerto Rico, South Florida Highlight Villanova’s 2025 Schedule

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova University baseball team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season. Trips to Puerto Rico for the inaugural Puerto Rico Challenge and to Florida to face Miami and USF will highlight the slate.
 
The Wildcats will open the season in Ponce, Puerto Rico, for the inaugural Puerto Rico Challenge. The Wildcats will face Rice (Feb. 14), Virginia (Feb. 15) and Michigan (Feb. 16) in the one-of-a-kind event. All three games will be played at Francisco "Paquito" Montaner Stadium, home of the Puerto Rican Winter League's Leones de Ponce.
 
Upon returning to the Main Line, the Wildcats will play in their home opener on Feb. 19 against St. Peter's. The following weekend (Feb. 21-23), the Blue and White will take on Winthrop in a three-game road series.
 
The Wildcats will have another midweek home game on Feb. 25 against Coppin State before a seven-game road trip.
 
First, Villanova will head to Nashville for a three-game series against Lipscomb (Feb. 28-March 2). Then, the team will head to south Florida to face Miami on March 5 before taking on USF in a three-game series (March 7-March 9).
 
The Wildcats will be back at Villanova Ballpark throughout mid-March with a five-game homestand. After a midweek game against Monmouth (March 12), the Blue and White will host NJIT in a three-game series (March 14-March 16). The homestand will be bookended with another midweek game against Princeton on March 19.
 
Villanova will play a three-game series at Wofford (March 21-23) before playing at Delaware State in the first round of the Liberty Bell Classic.
 
The Wildcats will return to Plymouth to host LIU in a three-game series from March 28 to March 30.
 
Then, Villanova will face Rider or Lehigh in the second round of the Liberty Bell Classic on April 1. With a win, the team will qualify for the semifinals on April 8 with an opportunity to play for the program's sixth championship on April 9 at Citizen's Bank Park.
 
The Wildcats will open BIG EAST conference play by hosting Georgetown in a three-game series (April 4-6).
 
After a potential pair of Liberty Bell Classic games, Villanova will continue conference play in Indianapolis at Butler from April 11 to April 13. Then, the Wildcats will host a three-game series against Xavier (April 17-19) and a midweek game against Bucknell (April 22).
 
Next, the Blue and White will hit the road for a series at Creighton (April 25-27) before taking on crosstown rival Saint Joseph's (April 29) on the road.
 
In the first week of May, Villanova will host UConn for a three-game series (May 2-4). Then, the Wildcats will head to the Big Apple for a road series against St. John's from May 9 to May 11.
 
Villanova will close the regular season with a four-game homestand. The Wildcats will face Saint Joseph's again on May 13 before hosting Seton Hall from May 15 to May 17 to wrap up the season.
 
The BIG EAST Championship will be played at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, from May 21 to May 24.
