Box Score MILWAUKEE, WISC. – The Villanova Wildcats traveled to Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon, where they tallied a 55-52 road win at Marquette. With the victory, the Wildcats improve to 15-8 overall and 8-4 in BIG EAST play, while the Golden Eagles fall to 18-6 on the year and 7-6 in league action.

Bella Runyan scored the final eight points of the period to give the Wildcats a 46-42 lead entering the fourth quarter. The eight points included two three-point field goals and a jumper in the lane.
The Golden Eagles started the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run to take a 49-46 advantage. Marquette senior guard Jordan King had five of the seven points to spark the spurt. Following the King free throw with 7:06 to play, Marquette only scored three points the rest of the game.

Lucy Olsen ran off five consecutive points on two jumpers and a free throw to give her team a 51-49 lead at the 5:20 mark. Marquette then took its final lead of the game when King drained a deep three to put the Golden Eagles up one at 52-51 with 4:58 to go.

Zanai Jones connected on a lay-up with 4:30 left to give the Wildcats a 53-52 advantage. After the Jones basket, neither team was able to score for the next 4:22. During the scoreless stretch, Marquette was 0-for-6 with a turnover, while the Wildcats were 0-for-4 with one turnover.

Maddie Webber ended the scoring drought when she made two free throws with 8.1 seconds on the clock to help the Wildcats increase the lead to 55-52. Marquette had one last chance to tie the game, but Liza Karlen's three-point field goal attempt was off target as time expired.
In the win, Olsen led the Wildcats with 19 points, while Runyan had 13 points. Junior center registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Marquette was paced by Mackenzie Hare with 16 points and King who had 13 points.
For the game, Villanova was 21-of-57 from the field (36.8%), 4-of-14 from three (28.6%) and 9-of-10 from the foul line (90.0%), while Marquette shot 34.5 percent from the floor (19-of-55), 38.1 percent from long distance (8-of-21) and 100.0 percent from the charity stripe (6-of-6).
The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday with a road game at Georgetown. Tip-off time is set for 11 a.m.
