2024 BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships Get Underway on Friday Afternoon

CHICAGO—The 2024 BIG EAST Indoor Track and Field Championships presented by Jeep get underway on Friday afternoon at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center at Gately Park. Action begins for Villanova with men's long jump at 1 p.m. Central time (2 p.m. ET) on Friday, while the Wildcats first race on the track will be the unseeded section of the 5000 meters at 2:10 p.m. CT. First up for Villanova on the women's side is the preliminary heats of the mile which start at 2:30 p.m.
 
All of Friday's events are trials with the exception of the 5000 meters and the distance medley relays which will close the first day of competition. Field events begin at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday and action will continue on the track with finals beginning at 11:30 a.m. Following the close of competition, there will be an awards ceremony on Saturday at 3:10 p.m. CT.

The BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports presented by Invesco QQQ will be live from Chicago on Friday and Saturday. Johnny Soper, Kenny McReynolds and Kacy Standohar will provide two full days of coverage beginning on Friday at 1:30 p.m. CT. Saturday coverage will begin at 11 a.m. CT. 
 
On the Wednesday following the championship, the all-conference team will be announced. The all-conference team includes all top three finishers in the meet.
 
All-session tickets are available to purchase, with general admission starting at $15 for a single-day.
