DAVIDSON, NC – The Davidson comes back to defeat Villanova 5-3 in a defensive battle.
After a two- run shot by Davidson in the first, scoring was hard to come by at the beginning of this matchup. Villanova responded with three unanswered runs to give them a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the fifth. Another three unanswered runs this time by Davidson would be the final scores of the game. Davidson wins 5-3.

- Jack O'Reilly recorded his second home run of the year, most on the team. He also records back-to-back multi-RBI performances.
- Devin Rivera came in the game in relief and recorded six strikeouts and only allowed four hits in four innings.
How It Happened
- Michael O'Shaughnessy hits a two-run homer to give Davidson the 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
- Villanova gets on the board after a wild pitch scored Cam Hassert in the fourth inning, 2-1.
- Jack O'Reilly hits his second home run of the season in the fifth inning. The two- run shot gave Villanova the 3-2 lead.
- Davidson answered in the fifth with a run after O'Shaughnessy doubled to left scoring Aidan Rice, 3-3.
- O'Shaughnessy adds another double, scoring two more giving Davidson a 5-3 lead in the seventh.
