Box Score LEWISBURG, PA— Villanova falls in Lewisburg in a back-and-forth match against Bucknell, 4-3.
Doubles
In the one spot, Amanda Rivera-Gonzalez and
Ami Grace Dougah pick up the lone victory in doubles for Villanova on the day. They defeated King and Platt 6-3.
Maggie Gehrig and
Emi Callahan lost in a close matchup 6-4. The sophomore duo battled but were outlasted by Miller and Lajos.
Senior
Bella Steffen teamed up with freshman
Jenna Stevens and fell 6-1 in the three spot for Villanova.
Singles
Ami Grace Dougah continues to impress in the one spot for Villanova. She picked up another victory, winning 6-4, 6-0 over King.
In the two spot Gehrig wins the match in the third set. After losing the first set 7-6 to Lajos, Gehrig won the battle in the second set 7-5. She would go on to control the third set (6-2) and win the point for Villanova.
Miriam Gondorova fell 6-2, 6-2 in the third spot.
Valieriia Kornieva lost in the third set to Miller. Miller would take the first set 6-4 and Kornieva took the second 6-4. However, the third set would go to Miller, 6-2.
Callahan faced Mair and lost 6-2, 7-5 in the fifth spot.
Freshman
Lauren Monti picked up a victory in the last spot for the Wildcats. Monti dominated in her match over Allen, winning 6-4, 6-2.
