Box Score BETHLEHEM, PA— Villanova drops to Lehigh in a close match 4-3. 


Doubles
 

In the one spot the freshman Miriam Gondorova and senior Ami Grace Dougah defeated Gaborik and Forkner 6-2.  This is back-to-back wins for Gondorova and Dougah as a doubles duo.

The sophomore duo of Emi Callahan and Maggie Gehrig fall 6-2 in a matchup against Dania and Dania.

Amanda Rivera-Gonzalez and Valieriia Kornieva were in the third spot and fell 6-2.  


Singles
 
Maddie Gehrig picks up her first singles win of the 2024 season in three sets. After losing the first 7-5, she rebounded with a 6-1 second set victory and a 6-4 third set win.

The Freshmen duo of Gondorova and Monti continue to shine in singles play.  In the two spot, Gondorova won in two sets (7-5, 6-2).  Monti was in the fifth spot and won in three sets (2-6, 7-5, 7-6).

Valieriia Kornieva fell in the third set of her matchup in the third spot (4-6, 6-3, 1-6).

Emi Callahan fell in the fourth spot 6-1, 6-1.

Freshmen Maddie Hills made her spring debut in the sixth spot for the Wildcats.  It would come down to the third set where she would fall in a tough battle (5-7, 7-6, 7-6).

The Wildcats have a quick turn around and are in action February 3 against Providence.
