MALIBU, CALIF. – Wildcats complete the series sweep in Malibu over Pepperdine, 7-1.
Villanova defense shines as they hold off any scoring by Pepperdine until the seventh inning. The bats for the Wildcats started the game off hot with five runs in the first two innings. One run in the sixth and seventh added insurance as they would go on to win 7-1.

- Luke McCollough pitched six complete innings allowing only two hits, no runs and three strikeouts. He picked up his second win of the season.
- Jack O'Reilly recorded three RBIs for the Wildcats. This is the most RBIs in one game by O'Reilly this season.
- Scott Shaw hit the first triple of the year of any player on Villanova. He now has recorded a hit in three straight games.
How It Happened
- A Scott Shaw triple and Jason Neff single scored two runs giving Villanova a 2-0 in the first.
- Jack O'Reilly doubled to center field scoring Cam Hassert, Trent Toole, and Shane Solari in the second inning, 5-0 Wildcats.
- A sacrifice fly from Trent Toole scored Michael Whooley, 6-0 in the sixth.
- AJ Hansen scored in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Shan Solari, 7-0.
- The Waves get on the board in the seventh after Nick Upstill hit a single scoring Luke Pemberton.
