Wildcats Win Finale In Florida

Box Score ORLANDO, FL— Villanova won over Butler 4-2 on the final day of their Florida trip.

The match included no doubles play as it all came down to singles matches.

Singles
Ami Grace Dougah clinched the match for Villanova in a battle that went to the third set. After winning the first set over Boesing 6-4, Dougah would drop the second 7-6. 

In the two spot Gehrig fell 6-2 to Schurhamer.

Miriam Gondorova fell in a match that would go to the third set.  Taking on Metcalf in the third position, Gondorova took the first set 7-5.  However, she would lose the next two 6-3, 6-4.

The freshman duo of Lauren Monti and Jenna Stevens continue to impress.  Stevens in the four spot took care of Balthazor, 6-1, 7-5.  Monti in the fifth spot dominated Martin winning 6-2, 6-3.

In the final spot Valieriia Kornieva won 6-2, 6-2 over Cook, picking up a key point for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats will be at West Point for a match against Army on March 16th.
