PHILADELPHIA— Villanova drops match 4-2 on the road against Saint Joseph's.
Doubles
In the one spot, William Monahan and
Justin Frattarelli dropped their matchup, 6-1 to Othman Bezzaz and Ernesto Ruy.
In the second spot,
Josh Robinson and
Cooper Gordon took on John Butler and Eli Gan-Dy. The match was unfinished after Butler and Gan-Dy led, 5-4.
Eitan Khromchenko and
Noah Winton lost in the final doubles spot, 6-3 to Justus Agboa and Achilleas Papadopou.
Singles
Josh Robinson's singles match against Agbo was unfinished after Robinson led 2-1.
Will Monahan lost to Ruy 6-4, 6-1.
In the third spot,
Eitan Khromchenko fell in the third set to Bezzaz. Khromchenko took the first set, 6-2 then followed up by dropping the second and third set, 6-3, 6-1.
Thomas Wakefield lost in a third set tie breaker to Papadopou. Wakefield won the first set 6-4 before falling in the second 6-4. The match came to a third set that went back and forth. Unfortunately, the point went to The Hawks as Papadopou won the third set 7-6 (6).
Ryan Nguyen dominated in the fifth singles spot over Jack Campbell. Nguyen defeated Campbell, 6-0, 6-1.
In the final spot,
Justin Frattarelli won in a third set battle with Gan-Dy. After losing the first set 6-3, Frattarelli took the second 6-4, and dominated the last set, winning 6-3.
