CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- Due to unsafe water conditions at the launch area, Saturday racing at the Knecht Cup has been canceled, as announced by regatta officials Saturday morning.

Lane assignments for Sunday will shift due to impending winds as crews will be seeded from lane 6 to lane 1. Villanova will still send three boats onto the water, starting with the Varsity 4 at 9:42 a.m. in lane 4 of heat 3. The Second Varsity 8 will be in lane one of the event's third heat at 10:12 a.m. with the Varsity 8 closing out the morning heats for the 'Cats in land 4 of the first heat at 10:36 a.m.

All three events will see the top boat from each heat head straight to the afternoon final. The V4 and V8 heats will also send the next fastest boat to the final while the 2V8 will send the next two fastest finishers. The afternoon finals schedule wil start with the V4 at 3 p.m., 2V8 at 3:06 p.m. and V8 at 3:18 p.m.
