Glen Cove, N.Y. — The Villanova men's golf team is set to compete in their penultimate tournament of the fall heading to the Nassau Country Club to compete in the Nassau Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday.
VU has yet to finish lower than fifth place as a team in the fall as it comes off a 5th place finish at the Georgetown Intercollegiate.
The Event
Over the course of two days, Villanova and 11 other institutions — Belmont, Iona, Fairfield, Kansas City, Sacred Heart, Long Island, Army West Point, Rhode Island, Delaware, Utah Valley and Navy — will play 54 holes. 36 will be played Monday with the final 18 teeing off Tuesday morning.
Both days will begin with a shotgun start.
The Course
Nassau Country Club is a 6,761-yard, par 70 course which opened in 1920.
Wildcats Lineup
Ryan Pamer tees off first for the Wildcats after a 29th finish at the Georgetown Intercollegiate.
Matt Zerfass comes in at second after being VU's top finisher at the Georgetown Intercollegiate after a 17th place performance.
Vibhav Alokam returns to the third spot for the third time in fall following a 20th place finish at Echo Lake.
Brockton English hits fourth off the tee for the Wildcats and has played at every tournament in the fall.
Ian Love makes his season debut for the Wildcats following a win at The Bear hosted by Div. III Ursinus Oct. 11.
Luke Leonard joins the team as an individual in the tournament.
