VILLANOVA, Pa. – The 2025-26 Villanova Rowing season officially gets underway this weekend as the Wildcats head into Philadelphia for the annual Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday.

Villanova will race nine boats across five events in the regatta this year, including five in championship races. The first boat on the water for the 'Cats will be in the Frosh/Novice Fours at 9:50 a.m.

Last year marked the best outing for the program with Carissa Adams at the helm, bringing in five top-20 finishes. Of those finishes, two of them were fourth-place showings by the Championship Fours and Eights to bookend the day. The lowest finish among Blue and White boats was 28^th in a 76-boat Championship Fours field, still putting Villanova 10 places above the halfway mark of that field. Five Villanova shells posted sub-15 minute times including sub-14 marks from the V8 and 2V8.
